General Information

By booking with The Balloon Alchemist, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
Please read them carefully before confirming your booking. These terms are designed to protect both you (the client) and The Balloon Alchemist (the supplier).

Bookings & Deposits

• All bookings are secured once a non-refundable 50% deposit has been received.

• Your booking date and products are not confirmed until the deposit has cleared.

• The remaining 50% balance is due no later than 7 days before your event date.

• Late payments may result in cancellation and loss of your booking.

• Deposits are non-refundable, but may be transferable if:

• The request to transfer is made at least 7 days before the original event date, and

• The balloon design and colour scheme remain the same.

• Any design or theme changes will be treated as a new booking.

Cancellations & Refunds

• Deposits are non-refundable, except where The Balloon Alchemist cancels the booking.

• Cancellations made within 7 days of the event date will still require full payment.

• In the unlikely event The Balloon Alchemist must cancel due to illness, severe weather, or unforeseen circumstances, a full refund of any payments made will be issued.

 

Designs & Colours

• All balloon colours are subject to availability.

• Exact colour matches cannot be guaranteed due to screen variations, lighting, and manufacturing differences.

• Once a final colour scheme and theme are agreed, no further changes can be made without additional cost.

• The Balloon Alchemist reserves the right to substitute materials for alternatives of equal quality if required.

Setup & Collection

• Setup and installation times will be confirmed in advance.

• The client must ensure suitable access to the venue at the agreed time.

• If setup is delayed due to venue restrictions or factors beyond our control, additional charges may apply.

• Any props (e.g. sequin walls, easels, stands, or signage) remain the property of The Balloon Alchemist and must be returned in the same condition.

• Damaged or missing props will be charged at full replacement value.

Balloon Care & Longevity

• All balloons are for decorative purposes only and are not toys.

• Indoor installations typically last several days (sometimes weeks), but The Balloon Alchemist cannot guarantee longevity once setup is complete.

• Balloons are sensitive to heat, cold, and humidity. Outdoor setups are at the client’s own risk.

• Once installed, please do not move or adjust the display.

• A Balloon Aftercare Guide will be provided after installation for best results.

Helium Balloons

• Helium-filled balloons typically float for 12–24 hours, depending on size, conditions, and handling.

• Foil and bubble balloons may last several days.

• Do not inhale helium – it is extremely dangerous and can cause serious injury or death.

• Keep all helium balloons away from heat sources, sharp objects, and unsupervised children.

Safety

• All balloons used are EU-certified, biodegradable latex or high-quality foils.

• Latex balloons can pose a choking hazard – please dispose of burst balloons immediately.

• The Balloon Alchemist is BAPIA insured and adheres to all relevant safety standards and installation guidelines.

Photography & Marketing

• The Balloon Alchemist reserves the right to photograph completed setups for use on social media, website, and marketing materials.

• If you prefer not to have your event featured, please notify us in writing prior to your event.

Liability

• Once your display is installed and signed off, The Balloon Alchemist accepts no responsibility for damage, deflation, or theft after setup.

• The client assumes full responsibility for the display and any hired items during the hire period.

• The Balloon Alchemist will not be liable for injury or damage caused by improper handling of balloons or props.

Agreement

By paying your 50% deposit, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to The Balloon Alchemist’s Terms & Conditions.
